Randy was born and raised in North Carolina where he developed a love for nature and animals early on in life. His father and grandfather were avid outdoorsmen who took Randy along on their frequent jaunts along the beaches, fields, and forests of North Carolina.

His photographic journey began during his days attending university in England.

Randy traveled extensively throughout Europe, Asia, South America, and North America during his 23 year Air Force career. Those experiences lend a unique perspective to his work and vision.

Though Randy's photographic interests have been diverse, including everything from wildlife to portraiture, he is currently concentrating on his original passion which is photographing the natural world around him. He is mesmerized by the many details of our natural world, whether it be nature, wildlife, landscapes, or scenics.
